Abstract

- From 82 cities of nationwide monitoring, 59 cities experienced inflation, while 23 other cities
experience deflation during August 2015. Palu has deflation of 0.75 percent
at the price index 121.14.

- The decline of price index occurs in the category of transportation expenses, communication, and finance services (3.06 percent), foodstuffs (2.54 percent) and clothing (0.25 percent). On the opposite, the increase in the price index occurs at the category of education expenditure, recreation and sport
(3.23 percent), housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel (0.57 percent), health (0.50 percent), as well as food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco (0.08 percent).

- The inflation rate of the calendar year up to August 2015 amounted to 0.77 percent, while the rate of inflation year
on-year (August 2015 to August 2014) by 4.85 percent.
